Sand, Sun, & SNL

We spent our first full day in Hawaii by playing at the beach and the pool. I was glad that Elizabeth enjoyed the sand, and that the boys were excited to be at the beach this trip. (On our last trip, they only wanted to be at the pool . . . a mix between not being comfortable in the ocean and not liking the shower to clean off!)

"I could get used to a view like this . . . Yup! I'm used to it!"

That night we had our traditional "Saturday Night Live", which is our family talent show. I have to admit that it was not on my radar this year. So with a week before our trip, I realized that we needed to come up with something. But then I always forgot to spend time trying to be creative. So we decided the best thing to do was to ask Benjamin and Nathan to each perform their dances from the school dance festival. Benjamin happily agreed and got me to be his dance partner. Nathan decided to do magic tricks instead. (Nathan, your dance was "Surfin' USA." It can't be more perfect to perform in HAWAII! Next time, just cooperate, please, okay?!)

Elizabeth playing with Uncle Chase during SNL. We didn't get any pictures of our family performing.
