Fun with the Family

Each day that we were in Hawaii, we would do our own thing as a little family during the day (although often we were together as a big group at the beach or pool). At dinnertime, we would get together as the big Partridge family to eat and do an activity or two together.

In addition to Saturday Night Live that I've already written about, here are some of the other things we did:

~ Sunday night Kaley lead a Hawaiian Bingo game with the kids, using fruit snacks as the markers. Then Amy did a fun game with all the guys. Since it was Father's Day, she quizzed the kids on different trivia about the dads.

~ Kaley and Chase gave a nice Family Home Evening lesson about making good choices on Monday night.

~ We had some activities for the kids to do in the condo during the down time between dinner and the nightly activity.

~ Several nights during the week, we walked over to the Whaler Village (shopping center) and got ice cream. On the second trip, Elizabeth quickly realized what we were doing. She took Ryan's head in her hands, turned his face towards her, and said, "chocolate." I had gotten her cookies and cream the first time so that I wouldn't have to worry about cleaning a stained shirt, so I thought it was so funny that she asserted herself and knew she wanted chocolate. That's my girl!
