I overheard Nathan telling his brother that he was stupid.
Me: "Nathan, go to your room. We don't talk like that."
Nathan: "Well, I'm almost a grown-up and so I can use grown-up words like that."
Me: "That is not a grown-up word. When have you ever heard Dad or I talk like that?"
Nathan: "Okay, fine. I mean a teenage word. I am close to being a teenager and teenagers talk like that. That's how I want to talk."
Oh boy, those teenage years are sure to be fun for Ryan and I! And I didn't realize that being 4 1/2 years away from something means you're close to it! Silly kid.

How funny! Wow, you are only 4 1/2 years away from having a teenager?! Of course they don't have to hit 13 to act like teenagers!
