Patriotic porch

A few weeks ago I decided I wanted to decorate the front door and porch better for 4th of July. I looked at a lot of stores and wasn't loving anything, so I decided to create a few things myself.

I don't have a picture, but I put some big red hyacinth's (fake) in the container on the porch. I added a few smaller white daisies. Then I tied a really cute ribbon around the container -- it's blue with white polka dots. Red, white, and blue without being overtly "4th of July".

I then made a pennant-type banner for the railing on the front porch. I had an idea in my head, and just crossed my fingers that I could make the real thing look anywhere close to my idea. I was surprised that I was able to put this together fairly quickly -- Saturday evening and a few minutes on Sunday finishing it up.
It's good it was fast, because I'm a little crazy and have a handful of other projects that I'm trying to all do this week before the holiday weekend -- more to come on those as I do them!
