It's not baseball, Mom . . .

. . . it's T-ball!

Benjamin is really enjoying his first year of playing. As with so many things he does, he emits enthusiasm in all his actions throughout the entire game!

He is not scared at all to field the ball. Some of his teammates won't try to get it unless it comes right to them. Benjamin has the opposite problem -- this last week he was playing 1st Base during an inning, but he kept leaving his base to run infield to get the ball! He did not like us telling him to stay on his base :)

Running to 1st base . . . can he even see where the base is with the helmet like that?!

At his first game back in May, the last play of the game came right to him. It hit the ground and bounced up . . . he got his glove in position to catch . . . but the ball hit him right on the forehead instead! He held the ball in his glove and used his other hand to rub his head for about 10 seconds before he threw it home! Luckily, the bonk to the head was not enough to diminish his love for the game!

Running Home
