Ryan's Hula Masterpiece

My birthday was on Thursday, and Friday was "Man Camp" (Fathers and Sons church camp out). My friends kept the birthday fun going by meeting Elizabeth and I at Texas Roadhouse for dinner while the guys were gone. It was Janae, Betsy and her daughter Izzy, and Cindy and her daughter Calli who were in town for the weekend. (Cindy, I like that you are making it a tradition to visit Utah on my birthday -- thanks!)
mmmm . . . yummy straw!

When she was "done" eating, she discovered she could sip ketchup through the straw. Cute and gross at the same time!

After Texas Roadhouse, Elizabeth and I went to JoAnn's to get fabric for a quilt for Betsy's new son. We got there about 7:40, but it was so hard to pick fabrics that we literally closed down the store and got crusty looks from the woman who helped me at the cut counter. I am doing a shower for Betsy next week, and I think the quilt will turn out cute. Luckily baby quilts are quick to sew together!
I am glad that the boys had fun at Man Camp, but next year they need to stay longer . . . my "girl time" with Elizabeth went by way too fast!
