A New Year . . .

A New Breakfast:

Grandma-ma gave me a Star Wars pancake set and a cool squeeze tube (for the batter) at Christmas. We got it out for a yummy New Years Day breakfast. The boys loved choosing which character they were going to eat. And I loved the ease of using the squeeze bottle!

A New View:

Elizabeth got a new car seat for Christmas. She had her first ride in it on New Years Day when we drove to Brett and Stephanie's for the family gift exchange. She has been facing backwards for 17 months . . . to say she was excited about being able to see the world would be an understatement!

wow 17 months. . . I bet she was excited to turn around. Our boys barely make it past a year before we have to turn them forward, in fact I think Hyrum's first front facing seat was on the Hawaii trip of '08 (about 10 or 11 months).

Oh and what is the significance of the D R M J? The only thing I could come up with was David Ryan Married Jennifer. . .

DRMJ= Dad, Ryan, Mom, Jennifer. We also made letters of N, B, J, and E for the kids that I didn't have a picture of :)

The pancakes turned out great! I haven't been brave enough to try it yet but they look so good! I bet Elizabeth is loving the new world she has before her now! What a fun way to start the new year!
