I'm going to sum up the beginning of our trip with something the receptionist told us as we were checking into our condo. After giving us our room keys and general info, this tiny, sweet, Hawaiian girl smiled at us and said, "Aloha, and welcome home!" And here in this beautiful place, surrounded by my family, that's exactly what it feels like.

Aloha, and Welcome Home!
Even though Chris beat me to it, I had planned on posting about Day 1 of our Maui adventure yesterday. You can read his post for the travel summary. This trip there are 23 of us: Great Grandma-ma, Grandma & Grandpa, all five Original Recipe + respective spouse, and 10 children under age 9. Only the Big Kahuna's could pull this off and keep their sanity (although that may not be true by the end of the trip). We are so grateful to them for these two weeks in paradise.
